Are You looking for Discounted Paint? We have found it, check this out.
May 26, 2016Do you have a “WET” space?
Do you have an area that receives constant moisture without the chance of fully drying out?
Pool cabanas and locker rooms are two areas that we find that is constantly damp with minimum air flow and has a tendency to have paint failure.
We have found a solution without the mess of an oil paint to use in these situations. In the pictures you will see a multi use shower room that has no forced ventilation as well as indirect sunlight coming from glass block windows. In the past they have had to repaint these areas every year prior to season kickoff.
The process we used to remedy this is:
- light power wash the area with mild bleach and Dawn dish washing detergent.
- let dry out, we utilized fans to keep the air moving and quicken dry time
- scraped all loose paint.
- Apply directly (pictured) INSL-X waterborne swimming pool paint to all areas.
- Apply second coat as and if needed (we do apply a second coat for added protection)
One of the reasons we have picked this product is that it is easy to use as it is a Waterborne product which means you can clean up with warm water. I will have to say that our experience was that it was a bit more difficult than cleaning up from regular latex paint but did clean our equipment with a little elbow grease and warm water.
This would be perfect for a Pool cabana, pool house floor, shower room or outside bathroom.
