How long will my exterior painting last in Andover?June 29, 2015
Your home needs a little sprucing but not enough for a painting crew to be hired.
This is a dilemma many homeowners encounter. The trim around the main door is showing wear, The window sill the cat sits on is getting worn. The dog rubs up the same door casing passing from room to room and it is looking dirty.
The exterior of the home looks to be OK except for the area the water splashes back onto and has worn of the paint. And don’t forget the window sil you were going to repair last year.
My home like many others has the same list, sometimes on the refrigerator and sometimes just all just all in my head.
The solution: Sell you Home…only kidding. We have many a customers that have us paint just one side of their home every year. This makes it easy for them to budget for as well as perform the extra tasks and wood replacement on that side that might be neglected if having the entire house painted and maintained at one time. This is easier on the wallet as it an be budgeted in a more affordable manner.
The interior painting solution: Hire a painter for a day and provide a list of tasks. We provide the painter and basic painting supplies for a fix cost and talk to the homeowner ahead of time to review their list of tasks. This will allow the painter to be efficient with the work and complete many of the little projects.
A couple of tips to make the work go as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
- Have all cans of paint labeled for each room. (nothing worse than going through cans for a half hour and loosing that work time)
- Have a detailed list of what is to be completed and also a wish list just in case the list is finished earlier than expected
- Prep for the Painter. have things moved or curtains taken down prior to the worker arriving. Remember you are paying for his painting expertise not his curtain or box moving skills
