The character of a historic home is something you fall in Love with. The ornate details, carved wood, multiple colors of yesteryear.
Often time and money take their toll on these fine properties and
over the years mother nature adds to the struggles of upkeep.
Over the last few years we have had the opportunity in working on some of these magnificent homes. From some of the city treasures to farm houses to stately Victorians to a Colonial that was designed by an architect who fought in the Battle of Bunker Hill. All these homes have one thing in common, they are a labor of love.
Over the past few years new Lead laws governed
by the EPA has made working on these homes
a bit more cumbersome with additional precautions
to the workers and residence which in turn add
additional costs to the renovation or painting project.
A Historic home repaint all though similar to a newer
home the difference is in the details.
We recently completed a Historic Home that was awarded a National Award from the PDCA “Painters Decorators Contractors of America
