How to Contain Dust during a project at your home

Painting Your Other Cabinets in your home
January 26, 2017What a Year….
If you asked me most of the time what are big accomplishments over the course of the year we would show you some pretty dramatic before and after pictures.
But Now after looking back at this past years three things came to mind that I believe had an effect on others around me.
The first accomplishment was volunteering to paint for charitable organization called Kingdom Corner project which their mission is to design beautiful yet functional rooms for children with disabilities or life threatening illnesses, providing them with a safe, comfortable place to sleep, play and live.
You can check out the Corner Kingdom’s website here http://www.cornerkingdomproject.org/
The first project we were involved in was King Landyn and Queen Shea’s room located in Methuen, MA.
This was a transformation of a couple of rooms in the home to make a safe place for the children to play and sleep. We were able to volunteer for the interior
painting of the rooms.
The second project as also in association with the Corner Kingdom Project in Nashua, NH.
This project was extra special due to the fact that we were able to meet Queen Sophia at her house prior to her going to kindergarten. Sophia
was a talkative little one who was born with hemophagocytic lymphoistiocytosis, This is a life-threatening condition causing the immune system to attack the body’s tissue, organs, bone marrow, liver, and brain. Yu can check out Queen Sophia’s story here http://www.cornerkingdomproject.org/queen-sophia
The BIG ONE:
Our Largest and the one which involved the community near and far was our “Peace Island“. Peace Island started out as a comment about a PEACE sign that was placed on an traffic island that Ramsden Painting maintains in Methuen, MA. The person stopped one day while I was planting flowers and told me the sign was ugly and I should remove it.
I then asked my Facebook followers if we should keep it or remove it? Four days later the sign was stolen, YES stolen.
What Do you do when something is missing? You offer a reward. I offered a reward of up to $ 300.00 but not for the stolen sign but $ 20.00 for every PEACE sign placed on the island in the next week with a reward up to $ 300.00 donated to the Methuen Athletic Booster Committee.

The island soon was covered with PEACE signs from local families, children, other painters as well as having signs sent UPS from all corners of the United states and Canada. The video was seen almost 18,000 times by Facebook viewers but more than that the community came together at a time when there does not seem to be much PEACE in the world. And who can not Love a few Peace signs popping up around the town and the added bonus we were able to donate $ 300.00 towards a great association that does so much for the children of our City.
Thank you for a Great Year
All My Best in 2017
