Project Spotlight: National Park Bathrooms
August 23, 2015How to Identify The Most Useful Fade-Resistant Brand of Paints for Your Exterior Painting Project?
August 29, 2015The Grand Room in an Andover Home.
We were invited into this home as they had sustained heavy water damage while they were away on vacation.
After meetings with project managers, insurance adjusters and an interior designer to assist with the color selection it was time to “get to work”.
Ceilings reaching 24 feet high required scaffolding.
Intricate trim was sprayed using an air assisted paint sprayer for high quality finishes. Glass like finishes on the trim was achieved with meticulous prep and a high quality paint was chosen. We chose Benjamin Moore Advanced latex paint for the trim and Sherwin William’s Emerald latex paint for the walls and ceilings.
The dimensions of the room were 24 feet wide and 42 feet long. The home was built in the 1990s and the homeowners were looking to achieve a new look for the room.
Floor protection was used to safe guard the hardwood flooring as well as negative air systems to keep the air in the rooms from dust.
We also use a Festool sanding system and extractors (vacuums) which are the most cutting edge equipment on the market to achieve the most professional fine finishes.
The spray equipment is a Graco Air assisted which combines air and paint to also achieve a high end finish with minimal over spray and material waste.
Timing and coordinating with the other trades provided the least down time of this room and the final results are shown below in an updated look and refreshed Grand Room.
